Jak is the 5th portrait in my Rest Series. Jak is an artist who strongly inspired me to fully embrace and accept my own identity as a full time artist. Together with our mutual friend Maddie we have completed multiple commissioned public mural works and continue to work together on large scale projects. The bursting shape of the canvas is inspired by their endless chaotic energy and symbolic of the importance of stars in our friendship.
The Rest of the “Rest” Series
I would like to thank Jak for being such a wonderful model, inspiration and friend. This project would not be possible without their participation, enthusiasm and kindness. If you would like to learn more about Jak and their art, you can check out their instagram @lnz4d.
